Monday, February 22, 2010     Mental Gridlock
(1:16 pm)

There are days when I have absolutely nothing to say, so I don't say anything. Other days I have nothing to say and try to force something out, and I'm sure you can tell by reading what I write which days those are. Then there are days when I have something to say and get it down succinctly and with clarity (rare). Still others I have something to say and just don't feel like writing so I don't. Another situation is when I have something to say and by the time I get to where I can write it, it's become jumbled in my mind or hazy and incomprehensible. The final kind of day is where I have so much to say that I can't get it sorted out and put one thing down in lucid form. Yesterday was one of those days -- mental gridlock.

One of the things going through my mind to put on this page was my recipe for Red Beans and Rice, which I made last night for dinner. I may do that at some point, but since today is of the fourth kind, it won't be now.

Last night was gratifying. The USA Olympic Hockey team beat Team Great White North (a/k/a Canada). My Danish women won a curling victory yesterday too. W00t! I like the Danes primarily because of Maddy DuPont. The girl could put a softball in that mouth, and she knows how to use it. She could drown out the rowdy Canadian crowd single-mouthedly.
