Many Things to Write About, Little Impetus to Write

First, a little bit of shameless self-promotion: I have a chapbook of full-color visual poetry available for purchase ($10 + S/H) at This is visual poetry series. There are currently two other chapbooks in the series available by Jennifer Hill and Dan Waber. Collect 'em all!

I've been mulling over potential commentaries on healthcare reform, the general political atmosphere in this country and much of the rest of the world, whether suicide is an appropriate and justifiable response to political and physical events or personal circumstances, and a number of other topics. I just can't maintain the train of thought long enough to write coherently at length on any of those or other subjects. I think the fact that I have a tooth that gives me problems at present may have something to do with that.

My Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup Finals towel is missing! I have no idea what happened to it. I may have stashed it somewhere 'safe where I won't forget where it is' (I lose a lot of things like that), it got picked up and put in the laundry inadvertently, or was stolen (although I can't imagine who would have done that), or what. I'm not going to destroy the world trying to find it, but I am a bit distracted by its absence.

The weather lately has been stunning, and I haven't felt much like getting out and enjoying it. This is partly due to my troublesome tooth, partly my circa-birthday funk. I'm hoping to take care of both of these issues by next week. My wife checked the prices for dentists. Holy Shit, Batman!
