Yeah, yeah, I know. This project isn't working out quite as planned. What can I say -- I've been busy. My Mother-in-law has been having health problems. I've been chauffeuring her around for doctors' appointments, etc. My wife has been home a lot, too, and I don't get much done when she's here. I suppose I'll need to adjust for that after she retires. Speaking of retiring: I need to find some kind of work to make a little extra money -- not for frivolous things, mind you, but to supplement enough to stay afloat.

The healthcare reform bill passed this week. I'm not sure it will do many people who already have health insurance any good whatsoever. Our insurance is changing soon. The HMO we have been with for years and years has decided to withdraw from the state and now we'll have to go with the state-run, Wells Fargo administered plan. It's almost certain to be more expensive in the long run, and I know already that at least on of the drugs I take will go from a $15 co-pay to a $50 co-pay. Bullshit! The one drug that kept my blood pressure on an even keel isn't even on their formulary. Formularies are total bullshit. The cost of a prescription should be a factor in whether you get to use it or not.

As you might imagine, I'm rather down in the dumps at the moment, even with my chapbook being available and one of my concrete poems scheduled for use during National Poetry Month next month. Ah, April -- the cruelest month, breeding lilacs out of that dead land. I'd post Eliot's "The Wasteland" in its entirety but it's way too long. Suffice, a link to it.

I'm done. No more. I got tired of this quicker than I anticipated. I don't know whether it was the hassle of keeping up the new format or what. Probably the hassle. I may do some more writing online in some form, but I don't think this will be it. Sorry to disappoint.

I'll be moving this whole project to the archives and taking the links down at some point, but I don't even feel like doing that much right now. Sorry.
